How to Wear AW16 Menswear Trends Now

aw16 menswear trends

The Autumn/Winter ‘16 collections are arriving at Coggles on a daily basis, forcing us to want to ditch the shorts and t-shirts for knits and woollen trousers. The trends for next season promise to be bold but wearable and the good news is, you can start incorporating them into your wardrobe now.

Sports Luxe

Ever since Demna Gvasalia introduced Vetements to the fashion world and shook up the meaning of style, sportswear has taken on a whole new level. While the trainer has been the footwear of choice for most over the past few years, this season and next is about getting slightly more experimental with new styles and shapes.

Military Green

Making up the bulk of Maharishi, Astrid Andersen and Craig Green’s AW16 collections, military green is set to be a major trend for AW16. Wear head-to-toe for a contemporary iconic look, or stick to one or two pieces for something more subtle.

Bomber Jackets

A blend of the sportswear and military trends, the bomber jacket is one of the must-have pieces for Autumn/Winter. Start wearing them now with a white t-shirt and cropped trousers, before pairing them with jumpers come the colder months and tailored trousers, as seen at Jil Sander and Givenchy.

Pink

Pink was a running theme at Paul Smith, KENZO, Gucci, Loewe and Pigalle, with shades running from barely-there to fuchsia. Stick to one piece with a jumper or accessory, pairing with black or pale blue.
