Designed to be the smallest, lightest folding bicycle, the A-Bike Electric revitalises the original A-Bike created by British inventor Sir Clive Sinclair (he of Sinclair C5 fame). London-based company A-Bike Ltd has updated the design for the modern commuter, adding a removable quick-charge battery, brushless motor and sensors that detect when assistance is needed, to make the bike easier to ride.
Weighing just 12kg, the A-Bike Electric can be folded down in 10 seconds and slotted under seats to work around limited parking spaces and possible theft. The A-Bike is designed to work and feel like a regular bike, while revolutionising the way people commute in the city. The designers are currently raising production funds on Kickstarter.
