Elise Wehle
Elise Wehle uses paper techniques including cutting, weaving, folding and drawing to create a new level to an existing painting or photograph. Beautifully intricate paper cuts form rhythmic patterns, weaved thread adds texture to an otherwise flat image and folds add depth.
After graduating Elise and her former classmates found it difficult to continue to create works of art without the schedule that university offered them, this is what inspired the 30 Art Project. The concept was to create one original piece of art every two days until they had 30 unique pieces. We've selected our favourite pieces from Elise's work.
