BOTW: LFW, Adobe’s Adventure into Apparel, and Argentina’s Answer to Goodfellas

A collection of the coolest cultural goings-on this week, as curated by Coggles.

  1. NEU NOW in Amsterdam

For the second consecutive year, Amsterdam’s international art festival devoted to presenting the work of Europe’s most exciting emerging artistic talent has returned to the city’s Westergasfabriek. Starting on Wednesday (14th September) and running until Sunday, this year’s edition includes works from artists including furniture and spatial designer Stine Aas and Birmingham University graduate Alberto Condotta. Find out more via NEU NOW.

  2. The Latin American Scorsese

Lauded as South America’s answer to Goodfellas, Pablo Trapero’s award-winning El Clan is finally coming to UK cinemas today. Having scooped the Silver Lion award at the Venice Film Festival and five Argentine Academy Awards, the film has been described as being “full of Scorsese-like swagger” by The Telegraph and will be available for viewing in Curzon Cinemas.

  3. Unseen Photo Festival

The second edition of the Amsterdam’s Unseen Festival begins this Friday in the city’s Westergasfabriek, the hottest ticket in Europe this weekend. Guest curated by Anton Corbijn, the festival will showcase photography from the likes of Dirk Braeckman, Antony Cairns, Adam Jeppesen, Paul Kooiker and Susanna Kraus, and will run until 25th September. The Festival will also include a photo fair taking places from next Friday (23rd). Find out more on Unseen Amsterdam’s website.

  4. Adobe Apparel

Computer software giants Adobe Apparel have unveiled an exclusive line of T-shirts and jumpers celebrating some of the world’s most generic stock photos. The tongue-in-cheek marketing ploy coincides with the launch of Adobe Stock, and features pieces including “Happy senior couple piggybacking at the beach” and “Smiling woman drawing red graph”.
