The Festival Fashion Checklist

Are you jetting off to Coachella in a few weeks, buzzing for Boomtown or hoping to bag a Glasto ticket in the April resale? We know as the temperatures start to increase you’ll be dreaming of being footloose and fancy free in a field with a beer in hand very soon. So among your checklist of essentials (we’ve listed these below), we need to talk about your 2019 festival fashion checklist.

We’re partial to a flower crown or a spot of glitter sure, but beyond that your outfit needs to be practical as well as on trend. Get ahead of of the game and avoid any fashion faux pas as you browse through our staple festival fashion pieces.

A huge summer trend and perfect addition to your wardrobe is the Cuban collar printed shirt. In true Romeo Montague style, it’s the shirt to be seen in this festival season. Accessorise with some thin chain necklaces and rings for an added edge.

Sunglasses that look great on every face is the aviator. A timeless classic that flatters all face shapes, look cool and hide any third day festival tired eyes with ease. Also, no one likes to squint while watching their favourite artist.

Another big trend for SS19 are oversized shorts. Bringing both comfort and style with their boxy shape, the oversized tailored look is easily paired with a hoody for when the sun’s going down or jackets if there is a light shower.

Let’s face it, you’re very likely to experience a shower or two while at a festival (especially if it’s in the UK) Whether it’s a light 5 minute drizzle or that grey cloud just won’t budge, it’s necessary to be prepared. This packable Polo Ralph Jacket is easily stored if the sun does in fact show up, but also a nice pop of colour to add to your outfit.

If you’re fortunate enough to be heading to a warm festival, leather sandals will be your saviour. Practical for slipping on but also teamed with a Cuban shirt and oversized shorts, a very nice finishing touch to your outfit.

A chic take on some throwback Coyote Ugly vibes, these Ganni Cowboy boots are the ultimate festival footwear. A big trend for SS19, cowboy boots are the finishing touch to your festival outfit. Team with boho skirts and flowy blouses for effortless Californian inspired style.

What could be easier than throwing on this Ganni oversized tee? You can quite literally team it with anything and look stylish which is great for when you’re outfit planning. It’s boxy shape is flattering for all and the floral print adds a nice touch of femininity to your look.

This See by Chloé bag screams festival fashion, the combination of fringing detail and neutral dusty pink colour palette gives off ultimate bohemian vibes. A cross body bag is also very practical for storing all the necessities as well as for security.

It’s usually just in time for when your favourite headliner steps onto stage that the sun slowly descends over the horizon and that an unpleasant chill starts to sets in. But luckily for you, you’ve been smart and brought that essential piece of knitwear. This Philosophy di Lorenzo cardigan with it’s fringe detail and relaxed fit, is made from chunky cotton so will keep you cosy and cool.

Midi skirts are really having a moment, and we’re loving the versatility of them. A big trend in SS19 fashion and easily paired with a variety of tops, shirts and jackets you’ll look very on trend whilst feeling comfortable as you float among the fields. For double fashion points, embrace the animal print with this leopard print Ganni skirt.
