Copenhagen Fashion Week: Ganni AW16

The bright colours and flowing fabrics of Ganni SS16 are gone and in their place is a tribute to Nineties style in all of its glory. Ganni AW16 burst onto the catwalk accompanied by a blast of Nineties nostalgia, both in the form of the music and in the styling; think body glitter and bantu buns reminiscent of Bjork. The Nineties is a recurring theme for AW16, from Lovechild 1979 to Ganni, each catwalk has an essence of the not so distant past.

Faded plaid paired with stretched sleeves, while leopard print clashed happily with shimmering glitter. Ganni’s signature style remained true to form with flowing khaki silk printed with delicate roses and loose fitting camisoles. Pale blue velvet formed the evening wear while statement tees provided a casual and accessible entry into the collection.
