Paper Cuts by Nahoko Kojima
We're mesmirised by Nahoko Kojima's polar bear paper cut sculpture entitled Byaku. The delicate structure hangs from the ceiling causing shadows to dance beneath as the wisps of paper dance in the light.
With a clear inspiration from classic depictions of dragons, Byaku has a life of its own. Because of the intricate composition, it never appears the same way, becoming something completely unique with every glance.
Originally from Hyogo in Japan, Nahoko now resides in the UK becoming a pioneer of her craft creating countless works since she began to practice in 1987.
