Ilona Habben

Hamburg-based freelance photographer Ilona Habben's 'Glassware Series' is surprisingly captivating. Simple in its concept, Ilona manages to transform glassware past its functional uses and creating something genuinely artistic in its place. Styled by Dietland Wolf and impeccably composed, an assortment of translucent glass vessels are filled with coloured liquids and photographed.

Not limited to still life photography, Ilona also photographs portraits, lifestyle and animal subjects (one particular picture of a dog licking his lips is a favourite) but her glassware series is something we continue to find truly fascinating.
