London Fashion Week: Preen by Thornton Bregazzi SS16
Preen by Thornton Bregazzi has a distinctive look; rock ‘n’ roll Victoriana that is all very British. For the Preen by Thornton Bregazzi SS16 collection, the design duo stuck to what it does best, adding edge to lace and ruffles like no other label can.
For this collection, Justin Thornton and Thea Bregazzi were influenced by contemporary dance, creating a sense of romance through effortless movement. Delicate floral dresses came with D-rings and cut-out shoulders, sheer lace was used to create slim line dresses and tops with floral appliqué, and wide legged tailored trousers were worn with crisp white shirts and matching loose-fitted jackets.
Prints were expertly clashed, lace and leather seamlessly layered, and hems came split, asymmetric or stepped. This was a collection for the woman who likes to embrace the softer side of fashion during spring/summer, without compromising her expertly curated personal style and love for black.
