Having created handmade shoes and boots for men since the mid 1800s, John Lobb has a wealth of history and experience behind it. Today, the brand sticks to its specialty while design contemporary and classic styles for the modern gentleman.
At John Lobb AW17 the collection was inspired by the River Nene that runs through Northamptonshire, paying homage to the region’s great history of shoe making. The shoes focused on raw materials and uninterrupted lines – think smooth leather Derby shoes and tasseled loafers, and a luxury shoe/trainer hybrid – while newly developed rubber soles and a distinctive storm welt feature throughout the collection, in order to protect them from the elements.
In the boot category, John Lobb offered water resistant suede crocodile Jodhpur boots in olive greens and navy, with a smooth tan style as the classic option.
