#2 Who created Rhude?
Rhude was founded by Rhuigi Villaseñor. Villaseñor founded Rhude as a visual commentary on Los Angeles style and culture after moving to the states from the Philippines at 11 years old.
Crediting his understanding of design and construction to his tailor mother, Villaseñor skyrocketed into the mainstream after he found his niche - originally dropping brandless streetwear capsules to a carefully crafted online community.
#3 When was Rhude founded?
Villaseñor launched Rhude in 2015, after some persuasion from an already-established fanbase. His designs had already been spotted on the likes of Kendrick Lamar, who wore his iconic bandana shirt at the 2012 BET Music Awards.
A perfect nod to West Coast culture, the black and white paisley bandana shirt was the very first thing Villaseñor created for Rhude. Followed by a string of sought-after collections, Rhude has managed to maintain its naturally understated niche ever since.
