Fred Eerdekens

Fred Eerdekens 5

Creating art through the use of language, materials, light and shadow, Belgian artist Fred Eerdekens manipulates metal wires to convey his message. At first glance, his sculptures are a mass of wires bent into unknown shapes but once light is cast, the true form of these sculptures is revealed.

Poetical messages such as “We see ourselves wading through the weeds/of our shallow minds” appear on blanks walls with nothing but the sculpture meeting its shadow. Visit Fred Eerdekens’ website to see more of his work.
