British brand Shrimps is known for its fun use of faux fur, print and colour. Founded by Hannah Weiland, this is a brand that focuses on its use of fabrics, emphasising colour and texture at every turn.
This season’s street style has been awash with colourful fur, and Shrimps seems to be the first word in that. In a pink marble bathroom set, moody models stood around in faux fur coats in stripe, checkerboard and animal print, contrasting scarves, and fur-trimmed sheer skirts and jumpsuits.
For this season, the Shrimps AW16 girl has grown up a bit. The baby pink and the fluff is still there, but so is a lot of black, red and leather, with diamante cuffs and encrusted handbags adding a touch of trashy-but-it-works ladylike style.
