Copenhagen Fashion Week: Ganni SS17

Space Cowboy was the theme for Ganni SS17, with creative director Ditte Reffstrup offering up a Danish take on the wild west – much like we saw at Won Hundred this season. The collection echoed a lot of what we saw at Copenhagen Fashion Week SS17: ‘80s meets cowboy style with fringing, suede zip-up dresses and python boots.

Ganni being Ganni, though, it was still a completely unique collection. Reffstrup added embellished chokers to gingham two-pieces, silk printed dresses came unbuttoned to show off a matching body underneath, zip-up sports tops were worn with fringed skirts, and layers were the main styling choice.

Colours ranged from light blue to deep rusts, red and greens, all offset with a light neutral beige. The  casual yet stand-out dresses made up some of the best pieces on the catwalk this season, but there’s no doubt that the Space Cowboy t-shirt will become next season’s banana Murphy tee.
