Jordan Matter

Finding the extraordinary amongst the mundane, that seems to be the gift of Manhattan-based photographer Jordan Matter. His project Dancers Among Us (now also a book available to buy here)has catapulted him into the spotlight and become the catalyst for a series of projects, Athletes Among Us and Circus Among Us being the most recent, which aim to celebrate the joy of the everyday.

We love the original Dancers Among Us project, as it still manages to communicate each personality so wonderfully and with such mirth, that we couldn't help but feature it as part of the LIFE section. The composition, subject and vision of each photograph seems to exude happiness from every angle, we can't help but smile! We hope you enjoy the images as much as we do.
