Wolsey dates back to 1755, when Leicester-based couple Henry and Ann Wood started knitting and selling hosiery. It soon became the biggest hosiery brand in Leicestershire, gaining significant publicity in 1911 when Captain Scott and the Norwegian Roald Amundsen chose to wear Wolsey underwear in their race to reach the South Pole.
The company received a royal warrant in 1935, which it still holds today, and has a rich history of providing clothing to some of the most inspirational sports stars both in the UK and nationally.
The British heritage brand holds the same prestige as it did 200 years ago, creating clothing and accessories for the man who prefers understated luxury. Renowned for its knitwear, Wolsey is made contemporary with a clean and minimalist design aesthetic.
