Handmade in Northampton Tricker’s has been crafting high quality shoes for over 180 years. Founded by Joseph Barltrop in 1829, Tricker’s is still owned and run by the Baltrop family to this day.
The brand changed from Baltrop to Tricker’s in 1862 when Walter Baltrop married Claire Louise Tricker. The name was seen to be more commercial and has remained the same ever since.
The Tricker's factory employs over 90 operatives in their Northampton factory and craft approximately 1,400 pairs a week ensuring high quality and care in every pair.
Tricker’s has been honoured with the Royal Warrant from His Royal Highness, The Prince of Wales and has been supplying him with shoes for over twenty years. Tricker’s shoes are literally fit for a prince.
