Fred Perry

Known for its close association with tennis, Frederick John Perry founded his fashion brand in the late 1940s. Throughout his tennis career he won 10 Majors including eight Grand Slam tournaments and two Pro Slams single titles, as well as six Major doubles titles. But the British player was most well known for his success at Wimbledon, winning the title three times in succession between 1934 and 1936.

The brand was born when Fred Perry collaborated with Tibby Wegner, an Austrian footballer, inventing the sweat brand. Going on to design the iconic short sleeved cotton pique sport shirts, the 1952 Fred Perry tennis shirt catapulted the brands success.
