Introducing KENZO
Coggles Life
Providing high-end, borderless, fashion freedom, KENZO is the reformed cult Parisian fashion house everyone is talking about. With the reinvented poppy emblem and new creative direction, KENZO is recapturing its iconic persona.
KENZO
Founded by Japanese designer Kenzo Takada the KENZO boutique in Galerie Vivienne opened in 1970, where the fashion house returned for AW22. Infusing positive energy with a modern approach KENZO was renowned for mixing print with colour. With a daring and optimistic aesthetic, KENZO brought cultural diversity to Parisian fashion with Japanese-inspired designs.
Late last year, KENZO announced the appointment of streetwear guru Nigo. Respected for his progressive approach, Nigo's career spans 30 years of pioneering brands such as A Bathing Ape (BAPE) and collaborations with the likes of Virgil Abloh for Louis Vuitton. Paying homage to the founder of KENZO the AW22 collection valued sustainability and functionality with deliberately bold designs. The collection nodded to the brand's heritage with all of the denim sourced from Japan,Aka-e-inspired illustrations and the reinvented KENZO poppy emblem which was redrawn on workwear, overalls, hats, waistcoats and more.
