Although the striped print of the cotton poplin underlay follows tradition, the exaggerated puff sleeves and cinched cuffs modernise the design with a New Romantic aesthetic. This is juxtaposed with the semi-sheer mesh torso overlay, finished with baroque-inspired embroidery. Cut for a slim fit, the faux feather skirt is detailed with metallic yarn, falling to a mini length. A concealed zip closure at the rear secures the high neck.
