If it’s not already, OAMC should most definitely be on your radar. For their contemporary aesthetic, traditional tailoring and technical innovation, OAMC clothing is a brand for the modern man. Taking inspiration from everyday culture, OAMC’s designs stand out for a multitude of reasons. Taking the workwear style of chinos and dungarees to bombers and sweaters the brand evolves them through the use of technical fabrics to create premium style.

#2 What Does OAMC Stand For?

Luke Meier and Arnaud Faeh launched OAMC way back in 2013 after both working at streetwear and skate giants Supreme and Carhart WIP. Luke headed up the design team at skate shop Supreme for eight years, while Arnaud landed creative director status at Carhart WIP for six years. Following their departures, Luke and Arnaud set up OAMC to design menswear that they were passionate about, naming the brand Over All Master Cloth or OAMC for short. Taking experience from heading up two of the biggest names in the business, the pair have successfully established the label, attracting consumers who originate from a skate and street culture but are now able to invest in luxury fashion.

#3 OAMC Collaborations

When the founders of a label come from backgrounds like Luke and Arnaud, it’s no surprise that the brand has had a plethora of impressive collaborations. In an interview with Hypebeast, Luke told the magazine that “the point of doing collaborations is to create something that you couldn’t do otherwise on your own.. collaborations are lame when they are just about colouring, labelling or branding.” With an emphasis on being as authentic as possible, the label has put this into practice, working most recently with old flame Supreme and adidas Original.

An editorial featuring Blood Orange’s Dev Hynes, shot by legendary fashion photographer Juergen Teller announced the launch of the new OAMC x adidas Original collaboration. The collection features a range of sneakers that were unveiled on the runway at Paris Fashion Week FW19. When talking about the inspiration behind the collaboration, head designer Luke explained of how he was inspired by early 90’s fabrics, shapes and motifs of the Pacific Northwest.

In a reunion with Luke’s former brand, the Supreme x OAMC collaboration is a charity partnership whereby all profits are being donated to Immigration Families Together, a charity that helps to reunite families who have been separated through immigration. The collaboration sees the brands produce a vintage inspired military jacket with co-branding on the rear with OAMC’s PEACEMAKER in Supreme type.
