Since its launch in 2018, you will have undoubtedly seen Museum of Peace and Quiet or MoPQ for short, dotted around the city printed on tote bags and classic tees. The brand has become more than just a fashion label, it has garnered a cult following for its relaxed fashion. Inspired by nature and a slower pace of life, we take a closer look at its story.
Founded by husband and wife Ashley and Christion Lennon, Museum of Peace and Quiet was inspired by a road trip after spending time in Marfa, Texas, Santa Fe, New Mexico and Sedona Arizona. Having previously felt burnt out and the pressures of getting by, the duo wanted to pay homage to all the places they had visited. And, most importantly emphasise the importance of thoughtful living, hence the name, Museum of Peace and Quiet.
Popular among the likes of Rosie Huntington-Whitley the brand’s early years coincided with the growing conversation around well-being. After a global pandemic, our focus was reset, understanding the importance of our own physical and mental well-being. Their ethos on well-being, comfort and minimalist living has resonated globally with men and women.
