London Collections Men: Christopher Raeburn AW15

Drifting on from the arctic influences of last season, Christopher Raeburn has cast the lifeboats for Autumn/Winter 15. The collection is centred around the life raft, transpiring in the form of inflatable jackets to subtle toggles placed within the garments.

Print is prevalent season after season within Raeburn’s collection, but for AW15 it is toned down to just a few complete looks. The print this season takes the guise wood, a nod back to the original raft; think more Huckleberry Finn than All Is Lost.

As is tradition, an animal always takes centre stage within Christopher Raeburn’s collections, this season is no different with sharks making an appearance in whimsical backpacks and printed knitwear.

Playful yet technically impeccable inflatable jackets and backpacks refer directly to life rafts and are strangle reminiscent of the ’90s trend. Whereas clean, crisp, untreated denim forms key looks within the collection.

The colour palette is tonally in keeping with many of the AW15 collections seen at LCM this season but with a little more focus on primary colours; cobalt blue, pill box red, yellow and bright orange play a key part within the collection paired with more muted navy and grey tones.
