AW20 Style Notes with Hues of White

This season we’re celebrating our community and teaming up with content curator, mother and overall style inspiration Hues of White. Known for her impeccable taste, attention to detail and flair for styling, Santina shows us how she’ll be transitioning into the cooler months with her AW20 style notes, as she takes us through three of her favourite looks from Coggles new season offering.

This season I’m all about pieces that are wearable and long lasting for your wardrobe. Pieces that will become an investment as well as versatility being a huge key for me, in order for you to wear one piece in many different ways. I will still be adding colour to my wardrobe but with AW20 autumnal accessories for this season as well as patterns that will see me through to fall.

I have always said that my nonna is the person that has inspired me the most! I remember as a child rummaging through her wardrobe every year we would go to Italy. She would have the most amazing coats styled with perfect dresses and the most exquisite jewellery collection and she continues to inspire me! Art is also a huge inspiration in my life, I have art pieces hung around my house that continue to inspire me in terms of interior but outfits also. They inspire me to play around with looks, be as creative as I want with looks but most importantly to wear it and have fun!

Look One

First of all this Olivia Rubin dress, there is no other dress quite like it! I’m obsessed, it’s a great dress for the party season. I’ve styled it with a pop of yellow with these ByFar shoes and bag. The pops of pastel yellow with the pink works really well together with the pastel yellow tones ensuring the look feels fresh and AW20 ready.

Look Two

I love a girly dress and this statement Stine Goya dress is it! It’s oversized sleeves and statement look teamed with these Kenzo boots to toughen the look up works so well together. I wanted to show that you can have a dress like this that works for the day as well as the night! The chunky boot trend is still in full force this season and look great with almost anything. I’ve styled it with the Yuzefi bag to add texture to the look and the Ganni Headband to pull the look together.

Look Three

This is the perfect day time dressing. A really good pair of denim jeans that are high waisted like these are my favourite. An investment piece for the wardrobe that are as versatile as you can get! I’ve styled it with the Victoria Beckham plaid blazer. The tones hit the AW20 trend and plaid is still very much the accessory of the moment! These Simon Miller boots, the heel is so good, it’s like looking at a piece of “wearable” art to the look but super smart and sleek! I’ve styled It with a classic white tee but with a GANNI slogan for an autumnal feel and an oversized Little Liffner bag to finish off the look.

AW20 Style Notes

This season I think it’s all about wearable pieces, making our wardrobe more hardworking than ever before!

  • Style your blazers or coats with a belt
  • Wear lots of statement “look at me” collars where you can wear them with a knit jumper and have the collars peeping through.
  • Keep boots chunky and “moon”like to toughen up pretty dresses.
  • Don’t say no to prints, the plaid print is still the dominant print this season but that doesn’t mean you cant try others!
  • The matrix fashion is still very much a thing! Keep skirts, jackets, shirts and trousers in theme. Think Vinyl and team with an oversized knit like a ganni jumper and you are fall ready!

I picked these outfits because I believe you can wear them at ease at home as well as out. I think we have seen a shift this year in terms of opting for comfort for home due to current circumstances but that still doesn’t mean we can’t dress up? Dressing up is what motivates me, so these pieces are just that! It’s party season ahead with Christmas in sight, so the Olivia Rubin dress is perfect for hosting a christmas party at home or the Stine Goya statement dress for a NYE party at home teamed with the prettiest ganni headband for a little NYE glitter! But they are pieces that are wearable, and that’s why I’ve selected them. Easy throw on pieces that work together and with anything in your wardrobe.

Accessorising for me is what helps to elevate any look in your wardrobe without spending a huge budget! Accessorising helps me to reimagine those items in my wardrobe I loved and help make them last longer through to the next season, simply by picking the right accessories. You no longer have to have the idea of “I need new clothes this season” to stay on trend or in style each season, there are simple accessory tricks that can do that for you! no longer have to have the idea of “I need new clothes this season” to stay on trend or in style each season, there are simple accessory tricks that can do that for you!
