M Missoni

Founded in 1953 by Tai and Rosita Missoni, the label they gave their name to is now one of Italy’s most important fashion houses. In 1967 Missoni shot to fame at the Pitti Palace show in Milan when their models walked bra-less, supposedly as they were the wrong colour to be showing through their thin blouses.

Today Missoni is famed for its striking knitwear of stripes, geometrics and abstract prints, all in a kaleidoscope of colour, with M Missoni, the diffusion line launched in 1998 inheriting the design flare and instinctive Italian style of it’s parent.
