Vivienne Westwood Anglomania for Melissa - Candylicious - Aug 28 2008

Fit to make any fashion fanatics mouth water, the latest collection from Melissa is absolutely scrumptious and is now available at www.coggles.com

To say Melissa has quite a following would be a gross understatement, given that the brand have manufactured over 50 million pairs of shoes over the past 25 years, including 20 million pairs that have been exported to 80 different countries, making them, without doubt a global and iconic fashion accessory.

Melissa is equally famous for its collaborations with some of the world’s uber cool. Previous cohorts include Zaha Hadrid, the first woman laureate of the Pritzker Prize for Architecture in 2004, Egyptian designer Karim Rashid, the Campana brothers, influential fashion stylist and art director Judy Blame and Alexandre Herchcovitch. So, who better to collaborate with in the celebration of design than Vivienne Westwood. Indeed the innovation and forward thinking principles at the centre of the Melissa brand are the perfect match for the fearlessly non-conformist Queen of British fashion.

The Anglomania brand has joined forces with Melissa to produce a collection that exploits the very best and very unique characteristics of two very different brands. The classic bubblegum scented plastic sculpture shoes have been fused with the Britishness of Westwood. The collection features cute pumps with tartan printed insoles and the iconic golden orb; and the classic Westwood Mary Jane’s have been reborn in juicy jelly plastic.

YMC Women's - 'The Outsiders' - Aug 20 2008

Coggles.com are thrilled to be one of the first boutiques to stock the debut YMC Women’s collection. Since 1995, ‘You Must Create’ has enjoyed continued success with the menswear line, and consequently Fraser Moss and Jimmy Collins, the brains behind the brand, thought it was about time that the girls got a look in.

The new women’s collection inherits a great deal from its menswear forerunner, and the same philosophy is maintained; providing an answer to the increasing demand for functional and stylish modern clothing. Refusing to be lead by transient seasonal trends, the collections from YMC aim to develop intelligent clothing that is both functional and distinctive.

Taking inspiration from country singer Patsy Cline, 1950s bombshell Jayne Mansfield and films like ‘Westside Story’ and ‘The Outsiders’, the range provides funky wardrobe staples, with attention to high quality fabrics and bold block colour combinations. These sit alongside chunky knits and practical, yet super sexy, jumper dresses. These pieces are for ladies who know don’t want to save their best for best.

We love the red and grey plaid, baby cord worker shirt and the collegiate cardigans with contrast collars. Get your hands on a delicious piece from the debut women’s collection from this cult brand.

Blue Blood - Aug 18 2008

Most denim houses profess their love of their product, but none quite as much as the boys at Blue Blood. Indeed founders Jason Denham and Steve te Pas claim to have indigo coursing through their veins, and it is this passion that lead them to create a new luxury denim and fashion house in 2002. Steve te Pas was the guy responsible for bringing Evisu jeans from Japan to Europe, so feel confident that these boys know their denim.

The collection has been designed to acknowledge the heritage of fashion and the lineage of the great names in the world of denim.

Blue Blood the Dutch, Netherlands based brand is for serious denim aficionados, so get ready because the Autumn Winter 2008 range from this exciting new fashion house has just arrived. Keeping it simple, the first season to be stocked by Coggles.com is comprised of the finest quality denim jeans, cheeky slogan tees and leather accessories. Keep your eyes peeled for the Blue Blooded lobster logo, as this brand is set to get even bigger.

Paul & Joe Sister - Aug 14 2008

Sophie Albou, the creator of Paul & Joe, which she named after her two sons, is now celebrating the brands tenth year. Coggles.com acknowledge this achievement with the arrival of the new Paul & Joe Sister collection, the brand’s cute and cheeky little sis, the latest addition to the Paul & Joe family. Following a successful season of stocking Paul & Joe Sister shoes, this quirky and light diffusion line is set to be a sell out range at Sarah Coggles.

Taking note from the mainline, the Paul & Joe Sister collection continues the signature sophisticated French styling, the clean lines and luxurious fabrics of her filial counterparts.

However, whilst the bright colours of the mainline are echoed in the new diffusion line, the vibe is more preppy, more retro, whilst retaining the sticky sweet prettiness of a very feminine brand. It certainly is, very much a boutique label.

A key piece for this season is the Bateau, pleated swing coat, available in a gorgeous grass green and fresh sky blue and the printed silk tea dresses, which are perfect for day to night time styling, will take you all the way through to Spring. Be sharp to snap up classic staple pieces, like the Bronte Knits - perfect for the layered look - and the high waisted Grimoire Shorts in grey and black provide a youthful, but smart alternative to a skirt this winter.

Woolen Mills by Woolrich - A sense of the great American Outdoors - Aug 13 2008

Woolrich hold the values of American history and tradition in high esteem, and use these values in the creation of collections, which feature the most authentic and functional garments you can buy. Indeed the new drop is an inspired collection, clothing getting back to basics, pared down to its most simplistic interpretation. Thus, the latest range is imbued with a sense of the great American Outdoors. Coggles is more than excited by the latest Woolrich offering.

Our favourites include the Plaid Bomber Hunting Jacket available in red and navy, and feature a black leather chest patch, and the Upland Bid Large Check Shirt in red and black brushed cotton plaid with reinforced shoulders.

We have Daiki Suzuki, the New York based Japanese designer to thank for the latest Woolrich bounty, in which he aims to simultaneously bridge the traditional and the contemporary in each individual garment. Blending Japanese aesthetic concepts with original fabrics and inspiration from archive pieces produced at the Woolrich Woolen Mill in Pennsylvania (founded in 1830) - including the use of traditional manufacturing methods - Suzuki has achieved a collection that stays very true to its roots.

Nudie Womens - An exclusive preview - Aug 11 2008

Following several successful years of producing jeans of the highest quality for the boys, Nudie, the brand that is wholeheartedly dedicated to denim, introduce their first women’s range. The range is not officially launched until Spring 2009, but Sarah Coggles has an exclusive preview collection of the Nudie women’s jeans.

The four styles that are available online and in store offer classic cuts, taking inspiration from the well established men’s range, with names that echo the best-selling men’s styles, including the ‘Tight Long John’ and the ‘Narrow Boot’.

In the creation of the new women’s range, Nudie maintain their philosophy that denim should be more than just a piece of clothing. They aim to create an excellent denim product that will become a second skin. The longer it lives, the more character it achieves.

The new women’s collection features the addition of the ‘Slim Kim’ to partner the men’s ‘Slim Jim’, both crafted from dry denim, which enables you to create the most individual and personal pair of jeans you will ever own. Far from promising that their product will catapult you to the height of fashion, Nudie guarantees they will fast become your ‘old favourites’, outliving trends, remaining true.

Due to the high demand and exclusivity of this collection, limited stock is available, so we recommend you order promptly to avoid disappointment.

New Minnetonka - Aug 8 2008

You know those fringed boots Kate Moss has on literally nine out tof ten times she's papped? Yep, that's what these are. Their celebrity following is huge, every 'it' girl from Sienna Miller to Agyness Deyn owns at least one pair of these moccasins.

Having been a kept a bit of a secret in the UK, these shoes are set to be massive. And with the resurgence of the folk trend currently hitting the catwalks, the Minnetonka collection at Coggles.com is set to fly out like hot cakes.

What makes them so popular? Sheer comfort factor. Unlike most boots and shoes the pieces of leather that form the sides and the sole are not glued together; Minnetonka moccasins are made from one piece of leathert hat is sewn together forming the entire shoe shape. This construction, coupled with the high quality vegetable dyed leather, allows the whole shoe to flex and mould to the foot, making them not only breathable but extremely comfortable.

The collection features five styles of boot, ranging from tall to ankle and the traditional 'Kilty' moccasin pump. Most styles are available in tan, black and dusty brown and the newest addition to the range is a classic fringed boot with pretty beading and detachable feathers.

Goi Goi gets Kasabian frontman - Aug 1 2008

The Gio Goi boys have chosen Kasabian frontman, Tom Meighan, to fashion the ‘Flashback’ theme for the Autumn/Winter collection, which revisits the 1988 rave culture.

Gio Goi, renowned for using the 80’s music scene as an inspiration for their designs, are hoping the original logo printed onto a classic fit t-shirt will do the job.

Kasabian, who recently closed the July itunes festival, are warming up for what is set to be a mammoth gig headlining Creamfields festival in Liverpool this August.

Some people may think that Gio Goi have decreased the risk factor by investing in Kasabian, compared to previous models Pete Doherty and Amy Winehouse… However, when it comes to burning the candle at both ends, Kasabian hold their own with the best of them.

Tom Meighan recently stated: “Since Kasabian came out, most of it has just been a blackout for me. Thank God I'm still here. I haven't gone to rehab, which is the genius thing.”
