Launched in 1970, Linda Farrow’s eponymous label was perhaps the first to design sunglasses with fashion in mind, her avant-garde sense of style and relentless experimentation quickly gaining her acclaim among London’s stylish elite, including Yoko Ono, whose Linda Farrow wraparound shades became part of her signature style.
Fast forward to 2003 following the death of Linda Farrow, her son Simon discovered a back catalogue of thousands of vintage styles, breathing new life into the brand by simultaneously focusing on the heritage of his mother’s legacy and collaborations with the world’s most exciting designers.
Jeremy Scott, Bernhard Willhelm and Matthew Williamson are just some of the ongoing collaborations, along with one-off ‘Projects’ with emerging designers and fashion forward celebrities that has seen Linda Farrow become the most exclusive eyewear label in the world.
