G-Shock has been the ultimate tough watch for over 25 years.

Designed to never break, G-Shock development represented a challenge to common sense and only after a long and hard process of research and development did the Father of G-Shock Kikuo Ibe get his breakthrough. Strolling in a park one day he observed children bouncing a rubber ball; if the watch were inside a ball it might withstand strong impacts. This was the eureka moment behind the basic G-Shock design – a floating structure supporting the components between fixed points, providing all-directional protection with the use of cushioning material to protect critical parts.

Fast forward 25 years and Casio G-Shock is a mixture of brains and brawn, with new technologies complimenting the tough-as-ever construction and now iconic design. Batteries recharged by solar panels on the face of the watch and atomic timekeeping to update time automatically as you travel are just two of the recent Casio G-Shock breakthroughs, while the G-Shock brand has achieved a cult following through its tough action-sports identity and continued involvement with underground music, youth sub cultures and exclusive collaborations.
