In winter, there’s nothing better than a steaming bowl of porridge to wake you up in the morning. Not the most exotic or exciting of foods, but it’s one of those easy things you can whip up before work and set you up for the day. Adding different ingredients can make it a bit more interesting too, which is why this buckwheat porridge with figs and cacao nibs from food blog Dagmar’s Kitchen has been our go-to recipe recently.
This recipe uses sprouted buckwheat groats (gluten-free and full of nutrients), blending them with avocado, honey and vanilla to create a smooth and creamy consistency. Top it with figs, cacao nibs and agave syrup for a healthy, delicious breakfast. View the full recipe here.
