London Collections Men: Private White V.C. SS16

Manchester-based fashion house Private White V.C. took to its flagship store in Mayfair to present its SS16 collection. This British brand is all about the classics, paying homage to its namesake – WWI hero Private Jack White – and creating contemporary clothing with a military influence. The spring/summer collection stayed true to this aesthetic, with classic blazers and trench coats in khakis, beige tones and camouflage print.

The stand-out piece in this collection was the six-piece suit, made with the new ‘ECOSEAM’ fabric, developed by scientists in the north of England. Free of environmentally harmful chemicals, the fabric is 100% eco-friendly, and results in a suit that is smart and stylish. In the sea of blues and neutral tones came pops of orange in longline jackets and zipped-up shirts, while bucket hats worn with suits added a more casual element to the looks.
