The Sound of Taste

A still from 'The Sound of Taste'.

What does flavour look like? How does it sound? These are the questions that inspired herb and spice experts, Schwartz, to create what they describe as a 'Sonic Flavourscape'. Created by creative agency Grey LDN, the 'Sound of Taste' features several tons of black peppercorns, cardamom, basil leaves, cinnamon, cumin seeds, ginger, chilli and coriander exploding in sync to create an audio visual spectacular, portraying the intense effects of spice on the senses.

Painstakingly organised down to every minute detail, the size and volume of each eruption was adjusted in order to accurately reflect the sound that it represented. Bringing together an eclectic mix of creative collaborators - from DJ/Producer MJ Cole for the original composition to film maker Chris Cairns and pyrotechnic designers, 'Machine Shop', for those essential explosions - here at Coggles we think they nailed it. Question is however, do you? Watch The Sound of Taste video below to find out.
