Red ‘Panton Chair’ by Verner Panton from the Vitra collection. Because of the progress in plastic technology, the Panton Chair, created using dyed polypropylene, has been through a number of production phases since it’s original launch. The last version of the chair authorized by Verner Panton was produced in collaboration with the designer at the end of the 1990’s. This model realized one of Panton’s fundamental design objectives for the first time: a plastic chair as an inexpensive industrial product.
