NIGEL CABOURN
Four Way Roll Neck Natural Knit
Nigel Cabourn - mens Four Way, roll neck knit in natural pure new wool. This knit features a roll neck that can be worn up or down, ribbed cuffs and hem. The main body of the knit is a continuous piece without shoulder seams but is re-enforced internally with diagonal patches. This is called the four way roll neck as it is based on the roll neck worn by Tom Bourdillon, an integral member of Edmund Hillarys Everest expedition eam. On his descent from Everest, when talking to the press they pointed out to him that his roll neck was inside out, his response being that it was rather a moot point as he had just climbed Everest.
The knit is still made in the original factories that supplied the Army in WW11 and is hand finished making each item unique.
The Nigel Cabourn Authentic line is a unique collection consisting of original clothes inspired by Nigel’s rare archival pieces from the 1940’s and 1950’s.
