This telephone was the final version of the 746 model and was released in this format when STD dialing became widespread throughout the UK in the late 1960's. They were the GPO’s standard rental instrument until the privatization of the telephone network when the new generation of push-button telephones were introduced.
Traditional rotary dial and bell ringer. Fully restored internally and supplied ready for use with modern telephone sockets. Compatible with the BT telephone network and most cable networks. These are original models and not modern plastic reproductions the three colours that we offer are part of the original 8 colour range in circulation throughout the 1970's.
This Classic phone does not produce touch tones (DTMF Dual tone multifrequency) as modern phone do.
